Ramzan Special Mutton Curry

Ingredients
mutton - 1 kg washed and cut into small pieces
onion - 2
shallots(small onions) - 1 handful
garlic - 1 big one separated into pods
ginger - as required
coriander powder - 2.5 to 3 tsp
turmeric powder - 1/2 tsp
garam masala - 3/4 tsp
chilli powder - 1 tsp (u can reduce or increase according to ur taste)
green chilli - 3 nos
coconut grated - 4 tbsp
Curry leaves - one strip

Preparation
saute the onions with some salt in coconut oil till golden brown. grind the shallots, garlic, ginger and green chilli in the grinder and add to the onions. Add more
oil if required. heat the coriander powder and chili powder in a pan for just 5-10 seconds and add to the sauted ingredients. Add garam masala and turmeric powder and mix well. Add the mutton and water to level the contents. Add a liitle more salt. Mix and close the lid and let go 5-6 whistles. Meanwhile heat the coconut in a pan till it becomes brown. Cool it for some time and the grind it in the mixer with 2 cups water. Once the mutton is cooked open the lid and add the coconut mixture. Let it boil till required thickness is achieved. Add the curry leaves and mix well. you can check salt and add more if required. Curry is ready :).

tastes good with pathiri and coconut milk. can also be served with appam or idiappam.
